Standard
Turn-Times
Standard
turn-times are based on all required parts being received in
working condition. Incomplete, unworkable or late assets will
delay the start (and completion) of your order. While the vast
majority of orders ship on-schedule, our standard turn-times do
not imply a guarantee.
How Long Does
It Take?
Our
standard turn-times are based on 'Day Zero' of the production
process. The graphic shown below illustrates what needs to take
place in leading up to 'Day Zero'.
What
is a Job Hold? A 'hold' is placed on a job when we
are not able to proceed with the processing or production of the
job. For example: Incomplete paperwork, discrepancies between
the quote and the supplied order forms, missing production
assets, artwork issues, the client hasn't responded to a
question in a timely manner, corrupted master, unlicensed
content, inappropriate material, etc.
What's
the best way to avoid a Job Hold? Without
question, most job holds occur because the client hasn't
followed the instructions provided here on the website...
particularly about artwork. Spending an extra 5 or 10 minutes to
read the requirements and double check paperwork and assets goes
a long way!

As noted above, pre-press and
proofing for client-supplied artwork files typically takes 2-3
business days (typically next business day for bulk discs).
Please ensure you allow yourself enough time to look over your
proofs carefully - you don't want to risk rushing your proof
review.

Fine Print: While the vast
majority of orders are ready on time, delays (though uncommon)
can occur. CDman does not assume responsibility for
circumstances or damages growing out of or owing to any delays.
While we strive for excellence, ready-by dates and turn-times
are always estimated and are not guaranteed.

If You Need A "RUSH" Order
What is a RUSH order?
A "RUSH" is any order that needs to be ready sooner than our standard turn-time.
If Your Order Requires a RUSH Turn-Time:
All RUSH orders must be approved in advance of the order being placed because we need to make sure there is room in our production schedule. While we want to do everything in our power to fulfill your needs there still may be instances when we cannot accommodate the delivery date you desire.
Three Very Important Questions:
Your RUSH order request will be evaluated based on three very important questions:
[1] ASSET DELIVERY DATE - What date will *ALL* production assets and paperwork be in our hands?
[2] PRODUCT DELIVERY DATE - What date must the order be in your hands?
[3] If the order cannot be delivered to you by the 'Product Delivery Date' do you still want the product?
RUSH Order Fee:
A RUSH order fee is necessary to expedite various materials and processes involved in manufacturing your order. Contact us for further information.
Note: A RUSH does not imply a guarantee. Every effort will be made to fill the order by the approved deadline date, however, unforeseen delays can occur and CDman assumes no responsibility for any damages growing out of or owing to any delays. If a RUSH deadline is not met CDman will refund the RUSH fee and the job will continue to be completed in an expedited manner - unless the deadline was not met due to the action or inaction of the client, whereby the RUSH fee will be refunded to the client minus the costs incurred by CDman for the expediting of materials/processes involved in the manufacturing of the order in good faith.
If Your "RUSH" Order Is Approved
Submitting Your Production Assets & Paperwork:
Upon approval of your RUSH order, it is imperative that all production assets and paperwork be submitted to our specifications and requirements on or before the ASSET DELIVERY DATE.
Jeopardizing The Product Delivery Date:
Failure to provide all production assets and/or paperwork to CDman's requirements as of the ASSET DELIVERY DATE will jeopardize and possibly delay the PRODUCT DELIVERY DATE.
The failure or rejection of any production assets (such as the content master failure or artwork issues) will jeopardize and possibly delay the PRODUCT DELIVERY DATE.
All proofs must be approved in writing no later than 9:00am (Pacific Standard Time) on the next business day after they were generated and e-mailed to the client. Failure to approve proofs within this time frame for whatever reason will jeopardize and possibly delay the PRODUCT DELIVERY DATE.

Orders
that start well, typically finish well. The most important
part of an order starting properly is getting all required order
assets on time and in proper working order. In short,
"proper working order" means that the paperwork is
properly and completely filled out, that the payment can be
processed, and that the master and artwork have been supplied to
our specifications and requirements.
Another
big contributor to a smooth order is having enough time
to do the job properly. Our goal is to produce the finest
quality product in the quickest time possible, but having more
time is always better than having less time. You would be amazed how often
we get a phone call like this: “We’re almost finished mixing
our songs and we have a release party booked for next weekend. How fast can we get our CDs
made?” People who put themselves in a position such as this
are not doing themselves (or us) any favors. Unfortunately we
see this scenario happens all too often,
Please ask
your IT or Administrator to 'white-list' the CDman.com domain
since you may be e-mailed from a number of different people at
CDman while your order is in progress. If you allow everyone
from CDman.com to e-mail you, you will avoid having our e-mails
branded as being spam - possibly causing an important message to
be blocked or delayed. We always try to follow up with a phone
call within two business days if you don't respond to a 'hold'
e-mail, but this is not guaranteed due to work load demands and
time-zone differences. At the very least, we strongly suggest
that you check for CDman e-mails in your 'junk-mail' folder
during the production of your order.
