Traycard:
Traycard
Spine Text
Our
templates indicate which direction that the traycard text should
go. There is no absolute regarding this issue, however 99% of
every CD out there orientates their spine text as per our
template arrows. Ignore them if you want.
What
about reference numbers?
Reference
numbers are those alpha-numeric characters that are usually seen
at the tail ends of the spine text of the traycard. They are
used by both record companies and CD factories to simply keep
track of all the jobs that pass through.
Make anything up you like. You can use up to 13 digits, in any
alphanumeric combination. There are no rules or restrictions
other than the 13 digit maximum. This number allows you to
designate individual parts in case you are mixing and matching a
reorder. If this is your fist job then all the components of
your project will be initially labeled with this number. You
tell us what the reference number of your project is.
What
about coloring?
Just
like the front inserts, our standard price quotes include CMYK
color (4) over grayscale (1) printing on the traycards. The
"1" side of the traycard is usually an extra
"add-on" that most competitors charge for -but with
CDman you get this for free. If you want color inside and
B&W outside -no problem, just write "1 over 4"
printing on your order forms. (no extra charge)
Where's
the rosette?
Use this
handy image to help figure out the alignment of your INSIDE
artwork if using clear trays to fit under the CD holder
(rosette).
NOTE: the
measurements (43mm and 55mm) are taken from the final CUT or
trim line (the page edge after it is cut). This line is BLUE in
the template file.
