Disc Serialization:

CDman offers the possibility of printing a serial number, a series of letters or a barcode on each CD, for internal use, for identification and tracking purposes. The barcode or alphanumeric fonts are printed on the disc with an ink jet process.

This service requires an additional operation which affects the price of your CD. Prices start at $0.32 / unit discounts for orders of 2000 or more

The serialization prints in the space between our template spec B and spec C. Since the inkjet head that prints the numbers rubs on the disc you should not include disc artwork in this area -especially if you are using CMYK colors. Therefore, to acheive the best results use Template "A" if you are adding serialization.

Listed below are some features of the printer used for disc serialization:

Better results can be achieved with six characters on one line. The best option would be 5 x 7 tl. Due to space limitation on the disc surface, the serial number or barcode should be printed in a single line format. A serial number or a barcode can only be printed once on the same disc. The designated numbers of a series of numbers or barcode can increase or decrease by constant only. It is possible to print more than six characters (please contact your Customer Service Coordinator for more information).
